Amami Kokuto Shochu BENI SANGO

"Beni Sango", which has an amber color, is made by fermenting unprocessed sake brewed in Japan's koji culture over a long period of time in Western barrels.
Without the aid of any additives, time in the barrel dissolves the air and creates a mellow taste.

The sake matures slowly in the warm and humid environment of Uken Village, and the unprocessed sake acquires subtle changes. It is this patience, of not rushing and simply allowing time to pass, that produces Benisango, the sake of our soul.

[Product features]
The wooden barrels used for Benisango are White Walk (oak barrels), which give the brown sugar shochu a sweet flavor and aroma, giving it a mellow yet exotic taste.
The underground water from Mt. Yuwandake, a sacred mountain on Amami Oshima, is turned into unprocessed shochu in the hands of brewers, which is then encased in carefully selected barrels and becomes Beni Sango over time. If you want to enjoy the pure flavor, we recommend straight or on the rocks.
